Jacqueline Oliveira M.A. Dir. Global Teams Practice

Jacqueline Oliveira, M.A., Director Global Teams Practice, has been part of the Charis team since 1995. Jacqueline is expert in intercultural communication with over 15 years direct application in corporate multicultural diversity and inclusion initiatives, including assessments, training and consulting. Jacqueline partners with Fortune 10-100 companies from many industries, customizing programs for pharmaceutical, semiconductor, automobile, entertainment, oil and gas, retail, finance, and manufacturing. She assists clients in talent development for global responsibilities.

Jacqueline works extensively with global teams, training leaders and members to leverage their cultural and geographic differences, while developing team processes to work successfully in virtual environments. A partial list of clients includes Abbott Laboratories, Alcoa Aluminum, Amgen, CVS/Caremark, Intel, Marvell, Oxy, SanDisk, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Spin Master, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

Jacqueline has critical insights in how to build trust across cultures, and how teams can reach higher performance and build high-trust in virtual relationships. She is a highly experienced and skilled facilitator in classroom sessions, webinars, and 1:1 executive coaching. Jacqueline has trained over 40 international executives and some of their family members for new assignments.

She has been a presenter at global business conferences, and a guest speaker at a variety of national business events. A prolific writer, Jacqueline has designed and written over 15 intercultural training manuals, authored articles for international human resource publications, designed and implemented intercultural and trust assessments, and contributes regularly to intercultural blogs.

Jacqueline shares her expertise academic programs, where she is adjunct faculty at Antioch University, teaching blended (online plus classroom) international business courses. She teaches intercultural mediation at the University of California, Santa Barbara Extension’s Mediation Certificate Program. She earned her B.A. at the University of California, Santa Barbara and her M.A. Intercultural Management from the School for International Training, in Brattleboro, VT. Jacqueline has delivered trainings both internationally and throughout the United States. She lives in Santa Barbara, CA, with her husband and their two labrador retrievers.
