Mark Lewis B.A. Intercultural Program Development

Mark Lewis, B.A., Intercultural Program Development, works with Charis clients to assess their global and multicultural business needs. Mark has worked in the internet and software sectors to provide culturally-appropriate public relations, recruiting, marketing, training, and consulting. In 2001-2002 Mark joined a year-long cultural and professional exchange to Germany. During the Congress Bundestag Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) program Mark developed and delivered intercultural training and consulting for clients from Germany, Mongolia, Africa, Argentina, and the U.S.

Mark's experience with cross-cultural exchange began while working in a multi-ethnic, multi-national Alaskan fish cannery. This was expanded during travel throughout continental Europe and a semester of study in London, England. Today, he has a particular interest in the regional variations of German culture, reflected in the character of cities such as Cologne, Saarbruecken, Kassel, Wuppertal, and Berlin. Mark writes freelance articles for small businesses and documents his travels throughout the world by creating culturally-focused literary non-fiction. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Sociology from the University of Puget Sound. He speaks fluent English and conversational German.
